Host Gui refresh
Published January 29, 2025
The Host Gui is about to be re-energised in its newest update
Like with our other recent product updates, the system has been updated to align with the new Gybasoft look and now includes multiple improvements over the last version.
The new Host Gui design
We have implemented an improved whitelist, which supports a range of settings like usernames, user IDs, game passes and more.
You can now add avatars and images to the side of your text, meaning that you can now put a face to the name of your hosts.
A Host Gui with a host image
With this feature, you can make your messages show up on the Host Gui while equipping a tool. All you need to do is specify the name(s) of the tool(s) in the settings.
Example of the Host Gui being used with a tool
To make things a little more interesting, we’ve added a function which allows you to customise how your texts enter into view. Some of which include fades, jumping, and shaking - how cool!
Showcase of available animations
To comply with Roblox requirements, the Host Gui will now be using the TextChatService APIs. We’ve also made it possible for scenarios when 2 people are talking at the same time, their messages will now align with the side of the screen they’re on. For example, if two hosts are talking, the message box of the host on the left will always be on the left side of the screen.
